A brief history:

All Secure Self Storage opened its first facility in Cambridge Terrace Naenae, Lower Hutt, in 1999 and has since expanded twice with a capacity of 523 units. Space is at a premium here, and forward planning is essential.

The South Island shared the benefits of the high quality of security and service for Self Storage at the end of 2003 when the Hornby facility was opened in Christchurch. The Carmen Road site has had 3 building phases and currently has 555 storage spaces, with the potential for a further 400 on the area currently used for car and boat storage.

Demand on the Kapiti Coast for a state of the art drive-through Self Storage facility (we believe it is only the second one in New Zealand) saw the development of the Paraparaumu facility opening for its first client at the start of September 2008. Level one has 332 units totaling 3200m² , and level two has a further 3200m² of more flexible spaces available for vehicles and commercial storage.

July 3 2009 saw the exciting expansion of All Secure Self Storage into the Auckland suburb of Onehunga, giving us a National presence in 3 main centres. The Onehunga site is another undercover self storage facility, so important in the Auckland climate.

It is a feature of our security measures, that we have had no unauthorised entry to our storage units since we first began operating in 1999. All Secure Self Storage prides itself in the way we protect your goods as if they were our own. We are always reviewing the latest in security measures to ensure your goods are protected at all times.

All Secure Self Storage now offers opportuntities for other independently owned and operated New Zealand Self Storage companies to join our expanding brand. Our construction & management experience allow us to offer investors a complete design, build and management option to join this rapidly growing business

Key Personnel:

Hamish Edwards

Hamish has been working for the business since his early teens and after recently graduating with a B.Bus, has also graduated to full-time staff member. Hamish has an interest in hitech toys and has overseen the installation of security cameras in all of our facilities. Hamish recently "migratd" to Auckland, to become the manager. Hamish is a keen sportsman and likes to think of himself as a dashing batsman that can bowl a bit. Golf balls also shake when they see him approach!

Keith Edwards

Keith is married with two grown up children. He retired from the police force, with the rank of Detective Sergeant, to establish a leading alarm installation and monitoring company in Lower Hutt. This company was sold to a major multinational company, and Keith used his considerable security experience to form All Secure Self Storage in 1999. Keith is the General Manager of All Secure Self Storage and his considerable business acumen has seen him sought after as a Director of a wide range of companies.

Lynley Edwards

Lynley completes the trifecta of the Edwards clan and has an amazing understanding of what everyone else is up to. Lynley is our resident jack of all trades (and master of them too!) Which ever of our facilities you visit, don't be in the least bit surprised if she answers the phone, or is waiting behind the desk to greet you.

Tony Green

Tony is married with two grown up children. Tony recently retired from the navy with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He has a strong interest in systems management and his expertise in this field is put to good use in the All Secure Self Storage group of companies. Tony has other business commitments within our group, but we are fortunate to have him as the relief Manager of the All Secure Self Storage Lower Hutt facility

Peter James

Peter is married with 5 grown up children. He had a lengthy career in hotel management before joining Keith as a founding partner in All Secure Self Storage. Peter’s experience has seen him involved as a director of a number of companies operating New Zealand wide. Peter is the Manager of the All Secure Self Storage Lower Hutt Facility. His managerial abilities are such, that he is also used as a roving manager of our other facilities to help us maintain our high standards

Steven Ray

Steven is married with two young children. He taught Science and Biology for 30 years, with the last 10 years as Head of Department Science in a large secondary school. Steven has an interest in IT and maintains and develops our web site. Steven is a Director of a number of companies. Steven became involved as a shareholder of All Secure Self Storage Christchurch before leaving teaching at the end of 2005 to manage the Christchurch Facility.

Steven is currently on extended sick leave with chronic lung issues and is on the active transplant list awaiting a suitable donor. If he asks for your blood group watch out!

Norman G. Nome

Norman travelled most of the South Island by campervan before joining the office security staff in early 2009. He always beams a friendly smile to all visitors. Norman regards himself as the strong silent type and never has a bad word to say about anyone. Norman is a bit of a globe trotter and is a keen blogger of his exploits.

Norman is currently packing his bags to attend his third Self Storage Association Conference and hopes to hitch a ride from Melbourne to the U S of A for another one!

Nick Brennand

Nick will never walk alone, but his football team certainly will. To say Nick is passionate about L.F.C. is an understatement. Nick started working for us as a student and now that he has graduated with a BSc, is working for us full time, taking over as Manager of the Paraparaumu Facility. Nick has taken on the extra responsibility of managing the insurance and packaging materials across all of our facilities

Mihai Tataru

Mihai worked two years part-time for us while he was a student at Canterbury University. After graduating BSc (Comp Sci) MIhai took the step up to being a full time storage consultant and now efficiently runs the Christchurch office in his typically cheery style.

If you are a school, or community group requiring short-term storage of items prior to an auction or Gala Day, please contact the manager of the facility closest to you, and we will arrange to make some storage space available for you at no cost.

We accept short-term leases
Payment is monthly in advance, but after the first month may be weekly/fortnightly/4weekly/monthly
Payment may be by Automatic Payment / Internet banking / MasterCard / VISA
Contents Insurance cover by AON is only valid while the lease is paid in advance
The contract is open ended and may be broken with only 5 business days notice
The contract is not terminated until the access card has been returned
Bad debtors will be listed on Storer Check & Credit Consultants
